SharePoint Power User Training
The Power User Training presents a comprehensive training programme, designed to provide a practical understanding of how to build, use and operate sites in a SharePoint 2007 environment. Power Users are identified as part of the initial Adoption Plan and during the Business User Workshop managers will identify a piece of functionality which will enhance their use of SharePoint and which can be configured out of the box. As part of the Power User Training course, delegates will build the application specified in the Business User Workshop therefore enhancing the practical application of SharePoint 2007.
During the Power user training & feature setup the Power
Users will be trained, the Local OOB features will be built
and the End User online material will be set up.
Power User – Classroom Training: The Classroom based Power User
training combines “Site Member” and “Site Owner” courses to provide a
comprehensive training program for power end users. This course presents
thorough coverage from the ground up about how to use, operate, and build sites
in a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 environment. To find out more about

Power User – Mentoring: The purpose of the Power User
Mentoring is to provide a one-on-one mentoring experience to enhance
understanding among key individuals within the organisation. This mentoring
takes place immediately after the Power User training session. The objectives
are:
- To build new functionality based on requirements identified and prioritised during the Power user training session
- To maximise delegate retention of the topics covered in training
- To encourage Power Users to configure the system to more closely meet their business requirements
- To provide “quick win” functionality which will encourage end user take-up of the system
The Power Users will be perfectly placed to assist the End Users having built
and developed the application.
